My name is Jan Garcia. I am the Principal Broker and Owner of Southern Oregon Real Estate Pros. Having lived in the Rogue valley since I was 2 years old many clients have said that I am very ’savvy’ about the Rogue Valley. I graduated from Southern Oregon University with a degree in Geography. My degree causes me to view real estate in a well-rounded way. I use my knowledge to view land use and how zoning laws affect a property, to look at geographic issues such as rivers or streams, types of soil and landforms to help you make an informed decision whether the property you are looking at will be right for you. When you couple that with my intimate knowledge as a life-long resident I think you will find that I can meet your needs when searching for just the right property.
I enjoy selling rural property and working through all the challenges from a well and septic to appropriate zoning and taxation. I specialize in the East Medford areas as that is where I have lived since 1957. I am familiar with schools and sports programs if you have children and over 55 communities if you are on the other spectrum in your life.
I was licensed as a Realtor January 2, 2002. I have worked at several large franchises over the years but chose to open my own company so that I could have the freedom to do business in a fiscally sound manner in which I can make the decisions on how my clients needs can best be met. I have met the qualifications to be a Life Member of the Million Dollar Club and have often been one of the top producers in the offices in which I worked.

My husband Rich and I have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. All but one of our kids still lives here locally. We have the grandkids one night every weekend to just play and enjoy them! It keeps us young at heart and I look forward to that day every week! My husband Rich works at North Medford High School in Student Management (discipline) and he is the head women’s soccer coach after retiring from the boys program as the head coach after 13 years.
